Role Of Logical Address

A.SubbaRao (26/08/2010 05:54):
Dear All,
I am trying communicate with DLMS prototype communication electricity billing energy meter. I seen in one document that I have to give starting flag, frame, total frame length, destination address, source address, control byte, HCS, information, FCS, ending flag. How can I frame DLMS read command in above sequence for energy meter, where control bit is varying from type to type, how to know the type changing in differnt command.

With Regards
A.Subbarao

Dear prithvi,
Logical address will identify the logical device within the device whereas physical
address identifies the device.

Prithvi (14/05/2010 04:18):
Dear All,
What is the role of Logical Address during Destination address verification as that contains PHY address as well as logical.

Regards,
Prithvi
